Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book
Series
The Diary of a Wimpy Kid
book series is a joyous and comical book series, which I believe, can and will
attract children all over the world. In fact, it already has. Many people all
over the world, children to adults, can enjoy reading this book as it is very
interesting and somewhat relatable to our lives for anyone at any age. It’s
author, Jeff Kinney, has won a lot of awards for best children’s books. All of
the books in the series are based on one main character, a weak middle school
kid, Greg Heffley. “Since the release of the online
version in May 2004, most of the books have garnered positive reviews and
commercial success. For example, Diary of a Wimpy Kid was
well-received from The Princeton Review, Gold Card Association, The
Dallas News, The TRR Editors, The NW Press,
and The JJ Printing Company. As of February 2008, it has been
purchased one million times.” Says Wikipedia. From this, we can tell that the
book is a very interesting and successful one. There has been many books from the books
series which will be mentioned below:
· Rodrick Rules
· The Last Straw
· Dog Days
· The Ugly Truth
· Cabin Fever
· The Third Wheel
· Hard Luck
· Long Haul
· Old School
· Double Down
Since it is famous, it even has its own movie. So many fans not
only like this book but they love it. This one wrote about why you should read
the books.
#1
– It’s really funny. Even when I reread sections I still find them funny every
time I read them.
#2
– It seems like its actually a 12 year old’s diary. The way it’s written with
the text and pictures is just like someone would write in the diary.
#
3 – The way Jeff Kinney draws people is interesting. I don’t know why he does
it, but he draws them with round heads and missing fingers. It’s weird but fun.
# 4 – Greg Heffley is the main character and my favourite.
Fregley is this crazy kid who lives across the street and I’m always shocked at
what he does. It’s funny but always strange when he’s around!
# 5 – Greg’s not very attractive and has a hard time getting a
date at the middle school dances. It’s so real!
# 6 – There are movies inspired by the books and they are pretty
good too. I prefer the books, but the movies are definitely worth seeing.
# 7 – I’m not in middle school yet, but I think it kinda shows
you what to expect from middle school.
